Adansi Rural Bank is a Public Limited Company established in 1980 in line with the Companies Code 1963, Act 179, and operates within the framework and limitations in the manner provided for in the Banking Act 2004, Act 673.

The Bank has its headquarters at Fomena in the Ashanti Region which is located about 58 kilometers southwards on the Kumasi-Cape Coast Highway. Fomena, a notable town with a long and distinguished history of traditional authority as the seat of the Omanhene of the Adansi State is also the political and administrative capital of the Adansi North District which was established in 2004. It is also about 22 kilometers eastwards from Obuasi, noted for its leading position in gold mining worldwide.

The Bank has twelve (12) branches Kaase, Dunkirk, Atonsu, Kotwi, Mbrom, and Ejisu (all in Kumasi), Fomena, Obuasi, Akrokerri, New Edubiase, and Adansi Asokwa, in addition to the Head Office at Fomena

The Board is made up of experienced, skilled, knowledgeable and cross competent persons who have the zeal and commitment to service and have been up to their responsibilities over the years. One major advantage of the Board is that its composition has been largely stable and has engendered teamwork and cooperation and this has facilitated its work.
